Daylesford’s Norbertine Abbey, located at 220 South Valley Road, Paoli, PA will be holding their annual picnic and raffle on September 11th. Click here for tickets and information.
The picnic will begin after the 10:30 am Mass, which will be held outdoors, weather permitting.
Visitors can join with the Norbertine priests at Mass and in prayer. This is also a chance to remember in prayer those who died or were injured in the September 11th terrorist attack on the twin towers in New York City.
Following Mass, the abbey’s annual picnic and raffle will begin. This event was begun by the Men’s Association of Daylesford Abbey in 1988. The fundraiser is meant to supplement the Abbey’s annual budget and celebrate the beginning of fall with the abbey community.
In 2021, 80 men and women members of the Abbey community attended the picnic. 710 raffle tickets were sold, and the following prizes were awarded
1st prize $5,000
2nd Prize, $1,000
3rd Prize $500

Although the first prize is less than the recent Mega Millions lottery, your chances of winning are much greater. Raffle tickets are only $50.00.
This raffle continues to support the many ministries of Daylesford Abbey, a non-profit Roman Catholic organization, such as the Bethesda Project begun in 1979 by Norbertine priest Domenic Rossi, now abbot of Daylesford Abbey.
This ministry, part of a coalition for the homeless, has grown from one residence for women to fourteen facilities ranging from emergency shelters to permanent supportive residences for
groups of people. The ministry serves over two thousand different individuals per year. The abbey provides support for the homeless, both in collecting and delivering casseroles each month and with a special collection throughout Lent and Holy Week. Attending the picnic and raffle is a wonderful way you can help others and enjoy great food and an enjoyable afternoon too. while supporting this important and much-needed ministry too.
The abbey’s Outreach Ministry focuses on the community’s commitment to serving those in need. The Abbey collects non-perishable food each Sunday at our Mass that is then delivered to St. Gabriel’s Food Cupboard
The Norbertine community members support Mission Santa Maria as it ministers to the migrant community in Chester County, both with monthly deliveries of non-perishable food as well as a special collection throughout Advent.
In addition to helping support these ministries, picnic attendees will have a delicious box lunch.
