Growing religious orders are not a thing of the past. It would appear in recent years, the number of men and women entering religious life has decreased in recent years. In fact, a decline in vocations began to decrease between 1963 and 1966. However, for some religious orders, that is not the case. Jeff Himes has made his Solemn Profession at Daylesford Abbey. On the Feast of St. Augustine (August 28, 2019), Jeff Himes professed his Solemn Vows at Daylesford Abbey. This means he has made his lifetime commitment to both God and the Norbertine community at Daylesford Abbey. We are delighted to have him as a brother in our Norbertine community. Remembering Fr. Joseph Laenen, O. Praem. The Rev. Joseph C. Laenen, a priest of Daylesford Abbey, died on July 30, 2019  at the age of 94. Fr. Laenen was born in Poederlee, Belgium on May 15, 1925.
